About the Role
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented HR Staff member to provide administrative support to our Human Resources department. The HR Staff will assist with various HR functions, including recruitment, employee onboarding, record maintenance, and compliance with labor laws. Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation sessions to integrate newcomers into the company culture and policies.
Prepare and maintain onboarding documentation, including employment contracts and benefits information.
Employee Records and Administration:
Maintain accurate employee records in HR databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
Update and manage HR files, including personal information, performance evaluations, and training records.
Assist in preparing reports related to HR metrics, such as turnover rates and training participation.
Employee Relations:
Provide support for employee inquiries and assist in resolving workplace issues or conflicts.
Help organize employee engagement activities, training sessions, and team-building events.
Promote a positive work environment by supporting HR initiatives and fostering good employee relations.
Compliance and Policies:
Assist in ensuring compliance with labor laws and employment standards.
Help in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Stay informed about updates to employment legislation and assist in training staff on compliance matters.
Performance Management:
Support the performance appraisal process by coordinating timelines, collecting evaluations, and facilitating discussions.
Maintain documentation related to employee performance and development plans.
Training and Development:
Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating employee training programs.
Help track training participation and assess the effectiveness of training initiatives.
General Administrative Support:
Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing correspondence.
Assist with payroll tasks, including timekeeping and processing employee hours as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in an HR role or related administrative position is an advantage.
Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and legal regulations.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HR software and databases.
Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus but not required.
Experience in employee onboarding and recruitment processes.
Work Environment:
