About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and safety-minded Mounted Crane Operator to join our team. The Mounted Crane Operator will be responsible for operating mounted cranes to lift, move, and place heavy materials and equipment at various construction sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with crane operations, a strong understanding of safety regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively with site supervisors and crew members.

Responsibilities:
Operate mounted cranes in a safe and efficient manner to lift and move materials, equipment, and structures on job sites.
Conduct pre-operational inspections of the crane and associated equipment to ensure safety and compliance with all regulations.
Review lift plans and blueprints to understand the specifications and requirements for each job, including load capacities and site conditions.
Communicate effectively with ground crew members using hand signals and two-way radios to coordinate lifts and ensure safe operations.
Secure loads appropriately using rigging equipment and techniques, ensuring balanced weight distribution and safety during operations.
Monitor weather conditions and make informed decisions regarding lifting operations based on safety guidelines.
Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, including equipment usage, lift details, and any incidents or issues encountered.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety regulations and company policies related to crane operation and safety practices.
Perform routine maintenance checks on cranes and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor for timely repairs.
Participate in safety meetings and training programs to promote a culture of safety on the worksite.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid certification for crane operation (e.g., NCCCO, CIC, or equivalent) and a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) if required.
Proven experience as a Mounted Crane Operator or in a similar crane operation role.
Extensive knowledge of rigging techniques, load calculations, and safety protocols specific to crane operations.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients.
Ability to understand and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in construction, manufacturing, or similar industries where cranes are commonly used.
OSHA certification or other relevant safety training specific to crane operation and rigging.
Knowledge of mechanical systems and the ability to perform minor repairs on crane equipment.
Work Environment:
Work primarily takes place on construction sites, which may include exposure to various weather conditions, noise, and physical labor.
The position may require extended hours, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends, depending on project schedules.
